Richard Mesker,
CSP, CUSA, OHST
Safety Consultant
Richard Mesker has
over 20 years of experience in Electric Utility Power Plant Safety and
Operation; Radiation Protection, Power Plant Water Chemistry Programs
and General Utility Safety Management. Richard oversaw the safety
program for a fortune 250 company with multi-state locations. Richard is
a graduate of the US Navy Nuclear Power Program. He received a Bachelor
of Science degree from the University of the State of New York and
performed graduate studies at the University of South Florida in
Industrial Hygiene and Safety Management. He is a certified safety
professional, certified utility safety administrator, occupational
health and safety technician, and registered with the national radiation
protection technologists. Richard is qualified to teach many OSHA
courses including OSHA 10 and 30 hour construction and general industry
certification.
His current and past
affiliations include the Nuclear Industrial Safety and Hygiene
Association (NISHA), the Southeastern Electric Exchange Accident
Prevention Section and the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).
Richard has experience
with OSHA investigations, injury/fatality investigations, root cause
determination, working with labor on investigations, site audits,
training, procedure development and program oversight.
